I'm sorry, but are there any good reasons for dropping internal tremor
support (except for a minor size reduction)? From what I have read here,
this removal only adds troubles, isn't it just a regression? Was that an early
decision before all these problems became apparent? Maybe it's time to
reconsider?

As there is no external tremor package existing (only SVN), isn't it a library
that is intended for inclusion into other project source trees by design?
Someone mentioned broken compatibility between different tremor versions, are
you sure there will not be any compatibility breakages in the future?

Newer ARM cores have hardware floating point support, but right now most of
the devices currently in use still do not have it. Maybe it is worth waiting
for a few years before dropping internal tremor support makes sense?

Also tremor is a pure C vorbis decoder implementation (except for the ARM
platform that you seem to despise), maybe it has potential of beating other
decoders if optimized?

You are the bosses here though :)
