I feel like I've been bamfed into the Bizarro World.  Before you know

I sort of had a gnawing feeling someone would bring it up sooner or
later.  The "osdcmd" slave command was a kludgey name, given that
there's already an "osd" command.  I didn't want to voluntarily offer to
change everything because I'm starting to run out of steam, but now that
it's done, I feel better about it. :)

If someone is unhappy with vf_overlay, however, I may hang myself in
frustration. :)
