-cache works better when i was streaming the file over nfs as compare to 
without it. When I used hard-disk, it dropped more than without -cache option. 
Going through the cache2.c file I found it is not really buffering the file. I 
suppose the file system layer in linux works different as compared to network 
layer when it comes to caching.
