Right, but this doesn't legitimate shipping an own GCC with mplayer.
You don't really want to maintain an completely own toolchain 
just for a movie player, dont you ?!

Instead you're welcomed to fix gcc bugs and contribute them to the
gcc project. You could probably tell people when their gcc is broken
and give 'em a pointer to your patches. 


BTW: mplayer isn't openoffice, it is ? ;-P
