That's true. Athlon/P6 isn't so sensitive to instruction scheduling as
Pentium 4 since instruction latencies of an Athlon/P6 tend to be
smaller than a Pentium 4 while the throughput of the two are more or
less the same most of the time.

Also note that AMD recommends '-xW' i.e. '-march=pentium4' for its
Athlon 64 when you're compiling with icc, neither '-xK' i.e.
'-march=pentium3' nor '-xP' i.e. '-march=prescott'.
