no, it shows OSD:disabled or OSD:enabled when switching its status (to 0 or 1) with 'o', not on startup.
maybe stupd i am, but almost everytime i switched through the status to see position in time, then return to osd, i have to try 2/3 times (not so stupid, almost only 2 ;-))) and walk through all levels to understand when i'm back to osd level 1. three friends of mine told me about the same situation, so i thought that maybe this was a common problem

infact you don't see it in that case only switching doring the play

mhhh, i think it's annoying to see this.... and of no use at all. if there are subs, i'll see subs ;-)
