[MPlayer-dev-eng] [BUG] ac3 passthrough via alsa broken

Hi,

I know this is no proper bugreport, but probably someone wants to tackle this:

AC3 passthrough using alsa is broken, it want's to auto-init some unexistant 
conversion rule (from 16bit to 8bit, which is of course bullshit). I can't 
really debug it because AC3 passthrough is broken in my alsa drivers anyways 
(i810, 2.6.10+alsa updates and anything older aswell).
