Greetings Alex,

I grabbed the Mplayer v1.0pre7 source directly with the tar-ball and
built mplayer.  I also downloaded the "all codecs for Linux x86" and
then built the mplayer.

The build went fine.  However when I tried to convert a wma file to wav
the program would segfault.   The command line I was using is:

    mplayer -vo null -vc dummy -af resample=44100 -ao pcm:waveheader
Track.wav

So I rebuilt with debugging turned on and with the aid of gdb was able
to patch the problem in libaf/af.c.


Included is the modifications I made to libaf/af.c.   I hope it helps. 
The program is great.
