It varies, but you should see a huge speed-up.

Just ffmpeg12, nothing else.  No mpeg4, nothing.

I wouldn't recomend it.  It's for only non-telecined, non-interlaced
mpeg1/mpeg2 videos.  You can't do any filtering/video processing at
all (except the equivalent of "-vf field").

It's nice for those with systems so slow they can't otherwise handle
realtime playback (ie. VIA CPUs) but for the rest of us, xvmc
really isn't worth using.
