Well, first, you're not posting in the right mailing list. Your post

Other than that, please search before posting, someone posted a full
example this very week about slave mode. Posting _without searching
beforehand_ is just gonna irritate people, moreover when it ends up in
an unrelated mailing list.

Using slave more is really easy, you just use mplayer just like you
normally do, just add -slave (and preferably -quiet too) to you
command line and start to type on your console.

Now, if you want to do some smarter things to control mplayer
remotely, I guess that should be possible with named pipes, though I
never tried.
