Sure, why not.

I think it's just that most people around here use lavc and thus care
little about XviD.  Besides I don't remember any patches coming up for
this.  Just get us some patches to review, we'll see then.

Since we haven't made a release with x264 support yet I would say we
do not have to worry about backwards compatibility.  Thus I'm not
opposed to changing option names if they are easier to understand.
