This is at least half of the reason why I haven't sent anything in. (The
remainder being the question of exactly what change to make - the
earlier suggestion of just making it "Stream dumped" is about the only
thing which comes to mind, and that doesn't seem ideal.)

Richard, are you really that strongly "fuck 'em" about the apparently
considerable number of users for whom this is just plain not either
clear or user-friendly? Because that's about the only conclusion I've
