[MPlayer-dev-eng] Fwd: [PATCH] seeking in large files on SMB shares

Hi,
I was asked to forward this mail, so I do that now, although I think the 
patch itself is not correct.
What I dislike about this patch is that it misuses fstat to try to 
detect if the file is seekable. In addition IMHO a file where 
lseek(f,0,SEEK_END) doesn't work effectively isn't seekable.
Does anyone know why it doesn't work and provide a better patch?
