I think something 3/5 minutes long is ok to start with.

If you put the samples somewhere on the web then the size doesn't matter.
I can download whatever you give to me.

Next verions of encode2mpeg will be 0.3.0.
New features include:
- interlaced avi
- VCD/SVCD/DVD: mpeg video encoded with mpeg2enc or libavcodec
- SMP support
- better documentation
