when a codec is buggy, please detail the problem in the comment field.

also, when you add a win32 codec, please try all the colorspaces,
not only one which works first. it's a performance and/or quality issue.
most codec uses yuv internally, and support at least one yuv format too.

you can also try vfwex first, and fallback to vfw only if it doesnt work.
(vfwex is a newer version of the win32 vfw api, used by modern codecs)

you can add the above comments to the codec-adding-howto or what.
