No, I didn't. I just haven't read it. Only the docs part.

I think so. But if so, than meaning of the parameter is contrary to the
obvious. Obvious for me, that when I increase parameter I increase
volume. If the opposite is true, than IMHO it HAS to be described in
docs. Wonder how many people would think of it as a bug. I would.
