I think you should clean up the patch a little
and resubmit.

In particular, -falign-loops in the Makefile is
BAD(tm), as it's not always useful (and it seems
it has trouble for static inline, anyway). Also,
  there's some debug stuff in the Makefile, like
the x.s and x.c target, they should go away.
