As Rich said, the right thing is to take the aspect information from
the filter chain's end.

No, the video encoder should just take the aspect from the
filter chain as with the -lavcopts autoaspect option.
I was previously not aware of the dsize filter, probably because of it's
name (IMHO aspect would be more fitting) and missing pointers in the
manpage.

Yes, it would be useful to readd something like that for the copy case.
