Hi Jan, Reimar,

The pci_find_device issue you're running into is neither unique to your
situation, nor fedora specific. I've had two reports of this issue, one
using fedora core 2 and another using debian/sarge with a kernel.org
kernel. The problem with it is that I can't reproduce it, on neither
system I have (both debian unstable with kernel.org kernels), nor do I
have an idea where to look. First I though it would be a possible issue
with fedora core, and it shipping with 4kB stacks. That was also
reinforced by the .config I got from the debian user, but upon testing
here with 4kB stacks...works fine. So that's not it either, and I was
going to blame it all on IRQ conflicts with other hardware (also given
the thread on it in June). And now Jan has figured out that building
without the CFLAGS, things work too. That is interresting. Can you
figure out for me which CFLAG is the culprit? Start with getting rid of
the modversions.h -include, as that looks like a good candidate
(conveniently eliminates some of the compile warnings too). Doesn't make
it any more obvious as to what is wrong, but it at least can help
providing a workaround for those running into it.

Btw, Reimar, the fix you put forth for compiling on 2.4 without devfs
has been integrated. Stupid, but alas, when you juggle around with
#ifdefs and friends, sometimes something slips though. Thanks for that.
