Sorry my fault I was meaning that the mplayer man file states that the 
libavcodec mencoder uses is "Motion JPEG" when it plainly is JPEG.  And 
the FourCC (MJPG) reflects the same as the man file making software 
like quicktime associate it with Motion JPEG A.
