If you distribute a binary or object, it looks to me that you 
violate the GPL section 3.

If all you distribute is source, then it looks like you fall 
under section 2 - and if you do all three required items you are 
fine.

In general, if you are violating the GPL, go fix it.  It's not OK 
to say "well, the authors are OK with it" - that's impossible to 
verify or even actually contact all the authors.
