Roberto, I'm afraid this doesn't work for me. The problem is that, not 
only is the nchannels field different, but also the sample-size field - 
you do need those "samplebits" changes from my patch. The mov demuxer 
actually assumes rather more about the header than is specified - many 
of the fields are dependent on the actual codec in use; it's just 
fortunate that they are conventially used in a certain way - and this is 
one of the things I was trying to address by using the 'switch' 
statement in my patch.

Do you not get satisfactory results by using the configure and codecs 
part of your patch, together with the demux_mov part of my patch?
