For what it's worth, it doesn't seem that way to me; the meaning seems
plain. If others have difficulty, however, perhaps "current playback
speed" would fix the problem? (If so, the same phrasing should be used
in the increase/decrease entry immediately above.)

In any case, the word should be "halve".
