This means your realname is set to something invalid (probably empty
string). Set it properly. This wouldn't be a problem if your
/etc/passwd file were valid, btw. :)

I agree freenode sucks, but it's the most accessible to people. Ircnet
sucks too. My vote would be efnet of course but since we already have
freenode let's just stick with it.
