Freenode has even meaner policy, their servers always spit out "Bad user 
data" to my xchat session and drop the connection immediately :-) Oddly 
enough, ircII works from the same machine.

In comparison, ircnet is pure heaven, when I can complain to my ISP if 
the server doesn't work :-)
