[MPlayer-dev-eng] Feature Request: cutpoints processing for mencoder

Hi List,

what about a new feature in mencoder for processing cutting marks !? 
Similar to -ss and -endpos but multiple times per input-file/stream:
in,out,in,out,in,out ....
This would be more flexible than -ss and -endpos !

As far as i understand an implementation that only turns off/on the actual 
encoding of frames, according to the given cutpoints, but reads and decodes 
every frame won't break anything !?

Maybe one of the developers can comment on this ?
