[MPlayer-dev-eng] [NOVIRUS] AVID DV codec

Hi,

I'm usig Avid Xpres Pro and was curious if mplayer will be able to play Avid
exported files. Avid works with dv all the time by default and the default
dv codec for exporting is it's own Avid DV codec.

There's only a strange fourcc but it is realy a DV video inside.

This patch to codecs.conf worked for me.

videocodec avdv
  info "AVID Digital Video (DV)"
  status problems
  fourcc "AVdv" dvsd ; pal .mov
  driver libdv
  dll libdv.so.2
  out YUY2


I' ve tried also the ffdv codec and it worked but generated some errors.
Status problems is used because this solution cannot count the duration of
the video and no meter can be seen by seeking.
