indent (ftp://ftp.gnu.org/pub/gnu/indent) gives at least the syntax a 
good formatting automagically... i like to use it with "indent --no-tabs 
*.[ch]" sometimes and get a good looking (still working) code 
afterwards... there is no reason to do this by hand..
