Hmm, your patch has some problems, please recreate and resend it:

silver:/usr/src/mplayer/main.dev/help$ patch --dry-run -p2 < /tmp/patch.txt

patch: **** malformed patch at line 605: -#endif

Besides, you compressed it with gzip, but called the file .tar.bz2.
It's only one file, so no need to tar it, just compress it or send it
to me directly uncompressed, whatever you prefer.

Did you read DOCS/tech/patches.txt?
