The project I'm pushing bmovl to its limits with is
<http://sourceforge.net/projects/rve>. The rgb2yuv functions became the
bottleneck when I made a function for scrolling text vertically across
the screen, like movie credits (that one is not included in the current
release).

I'll be using rve to show interesting stuff on a big screen during a LAN
party with ~60 people starting February 10. Around that time rve will
have more features than it has now and hopefully be easier to build.

BTW, it requires giblib, but the current stable release of giblib has a
typo in a header file that only shows up when compiling C++ programs.
IIRC you have to remove a line in gib_queue.h, but you'll notice when
you compile.
