Another day, another patch...

I have slightly modified Marcel Naziri's patch for fixing radeon_vid when 
using the ATI's FireGL X drivers. Alex expressed some concerns (with which I 
agree) about make radeon_vid dependent on X so I've added a configure time 
check for the driver. Although not a perfect solution it seems pretty 
reasonable to me.

Alex also suggested that the amount of memory remaining after the shift should 
be checked. Seeing as the driver can only be used with 8500+ cards which 
afaik aren't available with less that 64Mb I'm not sure this will ever really 
be an issue.
