[MPlayer-dev-eng] [BUG] mp3 file which mplayer thinks is an MPEG-PS video file

I wrote to the user list some time ago, but got no reply. So I send
it here instead...

I've uploaded a file "oskar-20021226-mp3mpegps.mp3" (1MB) that
mplayer 0.90rc2 thinks is an MPEG-PS video file and not an mp3
audio file. XMMS, alsaplayer, mpg123 and winamp recognizes it
as an mp3info and plays it fine.

Since it is not MPEG-PS mplayer ends up with a SIGSEGV crash.

The mp3 recognition code in libmpdemux/demuxer.c:demux_open_stream
looks kind of complicated, somebody knows how MP3 files are
detected?
