hi,

here is a patch for the radeon xvidix driver. there are problems when running 
the xserver with atis firegl drivers. only strange patterns are shown. the 
fglrx driver seems to reserve the last part of video memory for something, so 
mplayer interfere with it. so when the DGA address is shifted some MB to the 
front, it plays fine. with this patch the module figures out if fglrx is used 
by examining the xserver extensionlist searching if two ati specific 
extensions are loaded. if so, the DGA adress is shifted about 8MB.
i hope the patch will be useful... works fine on my box
