In case you didn't noticed, Michael committed lots and lots of things
in libavcodec recently : qpel, bframes+4mv fixes, better bframes ME,
user-selectable ME compare functions, diamond size selection and a
bunch of other things. Let me say a huge THANK YOU !! to Michael,
libavcodec is starting to be simply the best mpeg4 encoder around ! :)

In my own tests, qpel seems to help a lot in terms of PSNR & average
quantizer even at moderate bitrates (700-800 kbits/s). It eats a huge
number of cycles though :)
