Looks ok to me. (as far as I know the code ;-)) )

No, seriously that is a good idea, but I have antoehr request, on which I 
failed. 

Would it be possible to show some osd-information in video, while the Stream 
is caching for example ? (It would be ok, if that only worked, if -fixed-vo 
is used.)

I'm asking, because it is not easily possible for some plugin to display the 
caching-progress, while mplayer chaches.

I know one does not need to have a bgvideo for it, but it remebered me of the 
idea.
