[MPlayer-dev-eng] Fwd: [MPlayer-users] -tv on is deprecated?

mplayer tv://1:test:notvalid:invalid
will launch the tv without complaining.
but all real options like 
mplayer tv://1:driver=v4l:device=/dev/video1
wont have any effect.

And the manpage/docs only show exemples of the deprecated and non
allowed syntax with -tv.

How can I change a parameter today ?
