Hi!
So mplayer -slave works fine, so it is all good!
There are a change that could however make
mplayer -slave more usefull.
It could tell on stdout how long the movie is estimated to be,
this way seeking can be implemented more easily from the master.
It does report length now, but the video and audio is separate an the
format is not the same for all streams.
Also, it would be cool to be able to change the postprocessing plugin
settings (rotation, scale, etc.) on the fly in -slave - is it feasible at all?

If these seem like a good idea, I can make a patch for this - if you
know where these changes supposed to be in the source, please help me
telling it.

Denes

ps: also, ehm a Qtembedded video output plugin would be better than
fbdev - so I understand correct this would never be part of MPlayer, even
if I made it?
