I think the point is that sometimes you don't have a widescreen movie
-- especially in the case of anime TV series. If there are no black
borders, you usually want the subtitles as far off of the movie as
possible...but you might not quite want subpos=100, since it might run
off the bottom on a television screen, or just look awkward being that
close to the edge. IMO both behaviors should be available and
selectable at runtime. Is this too much to ask?
