I'd hate dropping support for DivX. That's what I use regularly.
Last time I checked XviD & lavc it gave worse results than what I get
with DivX. True I didn't tune much of the options, but for a quick &
easy encode at least, DivX is not bad at all.
I also have some source that implement ve_xvid that can cohabite with
DivX, but that's probably not what you are talking about as I never
mentionned it to anybody. Though if it would interest people I could
commit it after some clean up.
