[MPlayer-dev-eng] seek option

Hello,

In order to use mplayer in a Tcl/Tk application, I use the slave mode.
I would like to be able to seek in the video with a high precision 
(frame per frame for example) with all video files, is it possible ?
If it depends on the encoding method and the time between 2 key-frames, 
is it possible to extract such information about a video file, to make 
sure a seek of 1 seconde will be possible ?
