Hmm, would a module for -vo gdi and/or -vo directx be accepted into
mplayer? Audio shouldn't be an issue since cygwin's /dev/dsp emulation
seems to work. I agree that windows SDL is quite broken...in fact,
although it works ok for programs that are designed to be
posix-independent and only target SDL, I tend to think that SDL is
rather broken in general -- for instance, wanting SDL.h to be included
in main.c, arbitrarily redirecting stdio on some platforms, etc.
Certainly not very good for a program like mplayer, anyway...
