Thanks for the info, but that is not wanted by MPlayer README, so I
didn't...

from README, STEP1 :

To get the FFmpeg sources, use the following commands in a suitable
directory
outside the MPlayer source directory:

cvs -d:....

Note another thing:
Make usage of a shared library is better, this is why I asked for the
locaion of the shared lib (don't know at this time where it is.)
