With -vo mga -panscan 1.0 the movie does not start in panscan mode,
but at the normal size, under X as well as console.  As soon as I hit
'w' or 'e' to adjust the size it "remembers" and jumps to the
panscanned size.  I can submit a full bug report if you like.
