this is false
seeking is implemented, but it doesn't work, as encoders (currently only
nandub) are buggy and create cbr header fo rthe vbr vorbis stream
it is not possible to fix, without full re-encoding of audio

ehh. really bad wording :)
dv cameras never create avi files :)
they create raw dv streams, and the dv grabbing utils save them to avi
files, in format 1- (separated audio and video) or type 2 (raw dv stream
encapsulated to avi file)

anyway, teh support for the second variant is under development
