Well I've commited into mplayerxp your patches without affecting radeon's parts.
Please test that again.
About commented out stuff:
fifo_wait & engine_flush SHOULD implemented else you may get only partial video
register's updating.
What about color_key - it's strange that it doesn't work for you - I fully
imported from gatos project.
OTOH - if gatos drivers work for you then try study them - they have similar functions.
Else - send bugreports to gatos project - they have docs ;)

Please notify me characteritics of interlaced mode which caused problems for you
and full pci info of your card!
