#1) Yes, I do. But there's so much other work to do... rewriting a piece
of software that is already there is much less fun than doing something
new. But I guess I'll just make a version with same parameters as OpenDivX
and then tweak those some other time... 

#2) Don't know. Would be logical, unless Sparky decides to put
divx_vbr.c under GPL.
