MTRR is in libdha and that Makefile doesn't honor ARCH_LIB (nor W32_LIB). 
See my patch for it. What else breaks? 

I agree that W32_LIB might be suboptimal for holding -li386 though. Maybe
we should invent something new? Any other OS that would benefit from it?
