I don't know how your .idx goes, but i guess it's something about the auto 
sub color, please check if in your .idx have something like "custom colors: 
OFF", without my patch it will still use costom color define in the same 
line, but with my patch it will use auto sub color instead, I tested auto 
sub color with some movie and IMO i think the color computed is not good, 
the boundary of the sub is grey, but i think it looks better with dark, if 
some of your .idx's custom color is 101010 or some dark color like that, 
change it to 7f7f7f, then you can got the box like patterns. i think that's 
the problem with your movie. and maybe we should adjust the auto sub color 
a little^_^
