Current CVS snapshots still contain libavcodec/ and after doing

  cvs -d:pserver:anonymous at mplayerhq.hu:/cvsroot/mplayer login
  cvs -z3 -d:pserver:anonymous at mplayerhq.hu:/cvsroot/mplayer co main

to check out a fresh CVS copy in /tmp I still get a libavcodec
directory and it remains there even if I say 'cvs update -APd' in the
main/ directory.
Sorry cannot reproduce.
