IMHO, this should only be done when the MPlayer client is local. Also,
why would a browser plugin (etc) want to 'swallow' MPlayer like this?
There are perfectly good -wid and -slave options.

I'm not saying this patch isn't useful, but it'd be good to know the
reasons behind it.
